    About the Role:

    Serves the religious and spiritual needs of patients, families, and LifeBridge Health (LBH) employees within his/her faith group.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Provides Pastoral Care for members of his/her faith.
    • Visits and provides counseling for all patients, family members, and LifeBridge Health employees with special emphasis on death, dying, or grieving and spiritual issues.
    • Assists the Director in assessing needs of patients, family members and LifeBridge Health  employees of various faith backgrounds with emphasis on his/her particular faith group.
    • Performs religious sacraments and services as needed.
    • Consults with professional staff on patient needs and problems, including recommending referrals to outside resources for follow-up care in accordance with LifeBridge Health procedures.
    • Assists in ensuring all administrative tasks related to documentation and compliance are accurate.
    • Assesses the chaplaincy needs of patients and family members.
    • Assists Director in developing program goals, objectives, standards, and budgets.
    • Ensures compliance with all standards as required by LifeBridge Health, the State, and The Joint Commission (TJC).

    REQUIREMENTS;

    • Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred, 4 units of Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or College of Pastoral Supervisions and Psychotherapy (CPSP) required or Master's degreee and dACPE/CPSP equivalent required.  
    • Experience: 1-3 years of chaplaincy experience.  Must be well versed in Muslim law.
    • Licensure: Board Certified Chaplain required
