- Review and prepare data for use in actuarial analyses
- Develop actuarial analyses of cost projections, program design and rate setting for employee healthcare, life insurance and disability insurance plans
- Prepare captive insurer feasibility studies building on client historical experience and desired plan designs, administrative and reinsurance arrangements
- Prepare client and captive reserves and financial projections including stochastic modeling
- Conduct pension, retiree medical and other employee benefit valuations and year-end accounting reports, as well as client specific funding solutions
- Analyze medical stop loss arrangements and coordinate with carriers to secure optimal stop loss coverage for clients
- Prepare client reports, including annual stewardship reports and monthly financial reporting
- Develop and maintain client, carrier and reinsurance relationships
- Peer review work of others on team
- Support intellectual capital development within firm
- Correspond with clients, including data gathering, discussion of issues and presentations at meetings
- Completion of exams: ASA or close to it
- 4+ years of working actuarial experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deliver high quality work to clients on a timely basis
- Superior capability to analyze data, interpret findings and effectively communicate results
- Demonstrated ability to build and interpret analytical models
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and actuarial modeling tools
- High degree of customer focus and responsiveness
- Ability to deliver high quality work on deadline as both an individual contributor and as a team member
- Flexibility and energy to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team environment
