Transdev in Sayreville, NJ is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility role demands expertise in ensuring our building and vehicles are safe, clean and operational.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:
- $17 - $18 per hour, based on experience and in alignment with the United Service workers Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay scale
- Vacation: One week: Sick: 5 days; Holidays: 10 days after one year of employment for full-time employees
- 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability after 90 calendar day of employment for full-time employees
- Paid training
- Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
- Clean and sweep the interior of the vehicles
- Sanitize vehicle in accordance with location standards
- Wash vehicle exteriors at bus wash station
- Maintain cleanliness of yard and building
- Assist in snow removal
- Other duties as required.
- Prior maintenance experience preferred
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work as part of a team
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
