HiFyve is hiring for a Structural Engineer 3 in Los Alamos, NM

• Day Shift

• $119,200 - $201,100

Details:

• Support the facility by renovating rooms, modifying buildings and structural members, and developing new structures within and around the facility
• Install equipment on housekeeping pads or skids with the use of post-installed anchors
• Have the opportunity to design crane girders and crane support structures, canopies, equipment support stands, piping/conduit supports, and concrete slabs
• Work with colleagues in a team setting to complete full-system design solutions

Job Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of new and existing non-reactor facility structural engineering systems, engineering methods, and CAD engineering tools to solve operations-based engineering problems
• Structural analysis experience
• Advanced knowledge of engineering work, planning, control methods
• Advanced knowledge of engineering maintenance techniques and construction methodologies. Extensive knowledge of relevant Laboratory procedures, standards and guides.
• Advanced knowledge of industry, regulatory, national, and Department of Energy codes

Training/Certifications:

Current registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, 6 years of related work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of DOE standards
• Advanced knowledge in Water Resources Engineering
• Professional Engineering certification

MUST:

Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, background check and obtain clearance which normally requires US Citizenship
