    We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Maintenance Technician. This role will be responsible for ensuring that regularly scheduled maintenance and repairs are completed to maintain the conveyor system at peak production.     Summary

    Alphacomm custom designs, manufactures and distributes wireless accessories to over 18,000 points of distribution in North America. The Company leads the wireless industry in the number of carrier brands managed and is the first to market carrier-licensed accessory portfolios for over 50 devices launched annually. Leveraging its unique vertical-integration model across the value chain, Alphacomm custom designs products specifically for each device and brand and leverages its predictive analytics fed by proprietary business intelligence to enable just-in-time inventory access. Alphacomm's customers include corporate wireless carrier stores, independent carrier owner/operators and national and specialty retailers. Company and position are in Lawrenceville, GA.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform Regularly scheduled daily and monthly preventative maintenance on conveyor systems including grease fittings, oil changes, and clearing debris.
    • Utilize material handling equipment (MHE) to clear jams on conveyor in locations that are not easily accessible.
    • Troubleshoot to promptly correct any problems causing interruption of production related to the conveyor system.
    • Troubleshoot conveyor issues, to include adjusting pulleys for belts, determining if the correct electrical voltage is running to conveyor, etc.
    • Assist with building maintenance issues as needed to include plumbing, heating/CAC and minor cosmetic repairs and maintenance.
    • Provide support by assisting with battery changes and repairs to MHE as needed.
    • Assist with trash and pallet collection and separation as needed.
    • Additional responsibilities to be determined as business needs arise.

    Requirements

    • High School diploma required.
    • At least 3 years' experience preferred.
    • MUST have experience working with conveyor systems and powered equipment in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
    • Must have fabrication experience.
    • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
    • Ability to read an electrical voltmeter to properly determine voltage available.
    • Welding a plus.
    • Forklift and material handling repair experience a plus.
    • Previous Millwright experience a plus.
    • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic valves a plus.
    • Efficient planning, prioritization, and implementation of detailed instruction. Lead junior level assistant mechanics where applicable.
    • Ability to complete assignments in time allotted.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to:

    • Lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Bend and twist frequently.
    • Grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
    • Squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally.
    • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
