    Description

    Role:
    Protection & Control Engineer


    Objective:
    Develop, manage, and supervise Substation and P&C (Protection & Control) related design tasks to effectively meet client needs. Responsible for daily project-specific assignments and resolution of design challenges. Report directly to Electrical PE (Professional Engineer).


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:
    Bachelors degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited institution. Preferably registered as Engineer in Training (EIT).

    Experience:
    Two (2) to five (5) years of engineering experience in electric utility or utility consulting.

    Proficiency:
    Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, substation design methods, and power system protection philosophies.


    Skills and Abilities:
    Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure project success.
    Result-oriented with effective planning and organizational skills, coupled with a penchant for learning.
    Capability and willingness to self-learn new software applications.
    Prepare input data for computerized engineering solutions.
    Proficient in software including Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam (preferred), AutoCAD Electrical, and Substation Design Suite (SDS).


    Primary Responsibilities:
    Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team for P&C/Substation Projects design.
    Develop Substation facilities, encompassing one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring and interconnections, P&C calculations, and reports.
