    This is a 13-week contract position.

    Schedule
    The shift schedule is 12-hour nights, working weekend nights either Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

    Job Description

    The Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit is a high-impact, fast-paced nursing environment where nurses handle complex patient care issues.

    This 33-bed unit includes both step-down and floor patients, allowing nurses to manage a variety of medical and surgical conditions, including complex wound care, traumatic injuries, and bariatric surgeries.

    Responsibilities

    Deliver comprehensive nursing care to trauma and general surgery patients.

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

    Manage complex assessment and care for patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and respiratory support needs.

    Utilize critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.

    Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

    Must have experience with complex wound care, drains, devices, and chest tubes.

    BLS certification is required.

    Experience in a trauma or surgical unit is preferred.
