Hartford Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their endocrinology team.

Duties include managing inpatient diabetes to complex populations spanning all hospital service lines and collaborating with a number of interdisciplinary nurses and physicians to coordinate interventions, treatments, and tests.

Schedule:
Per diem, 1-2 weekends per month

Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.

In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.

Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)

Training :
Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Preferred Experience : 1+ years in endocrinology or hospital medicine
