    • Sign-on bonus: $20,000
    • Department: Float A - Med Surg
    • Schedule: Full Time Night Shift, 7PM-7:30AM, Weekdays & Every Other Weekend
    • Hospital: Ascension Genesys
    • Location: Grand Blanc, MI

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize professional judgment, analytical skills, and nursing process to provide a range of nursing services to patients
    • Coordinate patient care plans
    • Alleviate patient fears and anxiety through communication
    • Collaborate on discharge plans for patients
    • Monitor and report patient responses to interventions
    • Administer therapeutic regimens
    • Monitor patient responses and respond to changing situations
    • Ensure quality of healthcare practices
    • Provide leadership to staff members

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Graduate of an approved RN program

    Essential Functions

    • Interpersonal skills necessary for patient interaction
    • Ability to concentrate during stressful situations
    • Ability to lift and position patients

    Working Conditions

    • Normal patient care environment
    • Exposure to various conditions due to patient care activities

    Orientation Requirements

    • Approximately 3 to 9 months of on-the-job experience needed to apply unit and departmental knowledge

    Requirements

    • Licensed RN from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 2 months of hire
    • Certified BLS Provider within 3 months of hire

    Education

    • Graduate of an approved RN program
