Organization: SoonerVision, the in-house video production arm of OU Athletics, is looking for enthusiastic candidates in broadcast production, specifically as a Producer / Director, for the role of Associate Director of Broadcast Content. Located in Norman, Oklahoma, this position focuses primarily on producing and directing live game broadcasts and studio-based programming for ESPN's networks. As part of the Broadcast group within SoonerVision, responsible for creating content for Oklahoma Athletics, this role offers the opportunity to work across all areas of live broadcast production with a focus on Producer and Director roles. The Associate Director of Broadcast Content assists in live game broadcasts for various sports at Oklahoma, including volleyball, soccer, basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, baseball, and softball. The department also produces studio-based programming for OU Athletics that airs on ESPN+. The ideal candidate will have a passion for training and mentoring students to ensure the department's growth. **Essential Functions:** - Broadcast Producer - Produces Live Game Broadcasts and Studio Broadcasts - Broadcast Director - oversees venue broadcast equipment and control room setups - Manages Video / Broadcast Equipment setup and arrangement at venues - Provides live event support for technical assistance on-site - Facility / venue connectivity management - Assists in supervision, hiring, and development of student workers - Performs high-level technical and logistical problem solving - Handles various duties to fulfill the position **Required Education:** Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Marketing, Journalism, or related field; AND 24 months of experience in creative media, sports production, or related field. **Skills:** - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with irregular hours - Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills - Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively - Detail-oriented for accuracy and brand standards **Advertised Physical Requirements:** - Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods - Must be able to lift items over 50 pounds - Exposure to pressure from deadlines - Work during non-business hours **Certifications:** - Valid Oklahoma Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date **Departmental Preferences:** - Control Room Crew Experience - Graphics (Ross XPression) - Replay (EVS) - Audio (Calrec) - Experience in collegiate sports - Experience with broadcast TV trucks - Proficiency in Windows & Mac workflows **Supervision:** Student Group **Special Instructions:** Candidates selected as finalists will be subject to The University of Oklahoma Norman Campus Tuberculosis Testing policy. **Why You Belong at the University of Oklahoma:** OU values an inclusive culture of respect, belonging, and access, essential for pursuing excellence and changing lives.
