    Description

    Job Description The Quality Control Manager develops, implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of General Sealants products consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals.

    The position supervises a team of Quality Control Specialists assisted directly by a Quality Control Lead.

    Creates and enforces quality management policies, practices, and procedures, reporting on the performance of the quality system for review and as a basis for improvement of the quality system.

    investigate any customer issues and complaints relating to quality.

    Oversee inspection activity for product throughout production cycle, supervising workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure adherence to established SOP s, high productivity and high technical integrity.

    Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.

    Review, create and maintain Certificates of Conformance, Customer Materials Testing requirements, and all other related required customer documentation.

    Interface with appropriate personnel regarding nonconforming product, product quality and compliance, process compliance, and document and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    Conduct established testing procedures on products and optimize formulations through testing of raw materials.
    Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
    Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with the plant manager to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
    Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
    Prepare monthly reports to be presented to executive management for periodic review.
    Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
    Design, develop and implement quality control training programs.
    Punctuality and regular attendance are required as per GS policy.
    Must perform other duties as needed and requested by the management.

    Required Education and/or Experience/Training:
    Bachelors degree in technical discipline or equivalent work experience/education combination.
    Minimum of 5-7 years basic Quality Control experience within a manufacturing environment required.
    Minimum of 5 years Quality Control supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment required.
    Minimum of 5 years experience with ISO 9001:2015 compliance, implementation and auditing techniques preferred.
