    JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Prototype Tech. Prototype Techs are responsible for developing/constructing prototype boats, introducing them into production, and troubleshooting technical related production issues. Key ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    Develop and build jigs/fixtures, patterns, templates or other documentation and ensure all information is given to our design/documentation team.
    Build out prototype assemblies, mockups and build out boats based on design and engineering drawings.
    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
    Required QualificationsAttention to detail and problem solving is paramount.
    Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment under time constraints.
    Must be able to read a tape measure accurately. Must be flexible to change in daily scheduled hours.
    Ability to take direction from various Supervisors and Managers and adapt to change quickly and often.
    Keeping the work area clean and organized.

    Must have simple basic computer skills (i.e., Email and Google Sheets).Preferred QualificationsProficiently use small hand tools, both electrical and air powered, table saw, band saw, grinders, and router.

    Composite experience.
    Ability to drive a forklift is preferred.

    Work EnvironmentMust be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees fahrenheit at times.

    Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time.

    The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs.

    The employee must frequentlybe able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
