    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The purpose of the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Manager I is to lead the coordination, prioritization, development, implementation, and execution of operational improvement projects for Supply Chain operations, including raw material warehousing and distribution.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Analyze data, identify trends, and apply learned knowledge to the strategies and tactics defined by Supply Chain management to meet corporate goals for warehouse, distribution, and material movement.
    • Work closely with other Supply Chain department leaders to develop goals and 3-5 year strategy for Supply Chain operations and material movement.
    • Facilitate the collection of potential continuous improvement projects related to material movement at Gentex.
    • Develop project scope, establish schedules, and oversee operating plans to ensure resources are properly allocated for each project and timelines are met.
    • Work closely with Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, Legal, Purchasing, Engineering, Maintenance, and 3rd party resources on all projects (as applicable).
    • Develop tools for and provide training to Supply Chain Leadership to assist in understanding ways to effectively manage resources such as labor, space/capacity, equipment utilization, and material movement/logistics.
    • Manage all supply chain equipment resources, including analysis, sourcing, utilization and maintenance of fork-lifts, turrets, stock pickers, automated material movement and storage solutions, tablets, mobile devices, and any other equipment used to support Supply Chain Operations.
    • Learn, implement, teach, and coach best practices regarding material movement throughout our Warehouses and Distribution Centers.
    • Perform duties related to managing direct reports including recruiting, training/development and completing performance reviews.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
    • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
    WHAT TO BRING
    • 4-Year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business.
    • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Engineering process improvement initiatives.
    • 5+ years of experience within a Manufacturing, Warehousing or Distribution environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    WHAT WILL HELP
    • Knowledge of Oracle E-business Suite Applications, Power BI, Oracle OBIEE or equivalent Data Analytics tools.
    • Experience working in multiple areas of Supply Chain.
