    Job Title: Culinary Arts Instructor

    Job Location: Gwynedd Mercy Academy Elementary, Lower Gwynedd

    Job Hours: M-F, 8:30am - 3:30pm

    Job Dates: June 24 - August 16, 2024

    Pay Rate: $20/hour

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Instruct weekly Cooking Camps and ensuring safety in the kitchen and prep spaces at all times
    • Execute the provided menus and recipes for your camp each day, making sure campers complete their cooking and baking on time throughout the week
    • Follow all health, safety, and other policies and procedures
    • Perform weekly inventory management and tracking
    • Be a role model for campers and staff, arriving every day with an inclusive, professional, upbeat, and positive attitude

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education, training, and experience in teaching and/or culinary arts
    • ServSafe Certification or the ability to complete the certification before camp
    • A background in working with kids and teens is highly recommended, but not required
    • Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook
    • Deep appreciation for teamwork and drive to be part of a high-level team
    • Required clearances, or ability to obtain them prior to start date. Lavner Education will reimburse employee for the costs of the clearances if they need to be obtained
