    The Role

    Data Scientist Intern - This individual will work with the Data Science Team in support of all levels of the Sales Planning & Analysis team to ensure accurate reporting standards, quality assurance of data, creation/upkeep of dataflows via SQL/Redshift/ETL in BI systems and working on initiatives for other data related business problems and initiatives. The position reports directly to the Data Science Sr. Manager – Sales Planning and Analysis.

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Databases/BI Tools
  • Build & QA Dataflows Use company resources to curate data. QA current ETL and SQL queries for cards to ensure accuracy. Assist team with development of new visualizations and dataflows to answer business questions. Pull ad-hoc reports for teams as required. Analyze highly confidential information. Work with Data Scientist to ensure efficient speeds and documentation for all data outputs. Assist Data Scientist in researching and testing new systems internally to improve our reporting capabilities.
  • Analytics Analyze business data to tell a story and/or find inefficiencies within current and historical information. Develop, communicate, and assist in execution the organization on metrics practices and processes.
  • Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • Pursuing a BS/BA undergraduate degree in Math, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or applicable quantitative degree.
  • Project or internship experience with SQL/Database or coursework completed in this subject area.
  • Project or internship experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or coursework completed in this subject area.
  • Big data analysis experience or coursework completed in this subject area.
  • No visa sponsorship is available for this position.

    US: Hiring Range: from $ to $ per hour; from $39,500 to $110,240 per annum.

    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
