Job Description

We are partnering with an elementary school in the Waterville, Maine area to find a Paraprofessional (PARA) / Teacher Assistant (TA) for the remainder of the school year. We are looking for a compassionate candidate wanting to work with Special Education students of varying levels, grades K - 5th, and meets the following qualifications:

Position Details:

• Full time / 35 hours a week
• Working with Special Education students in an elementary school setting, specific caseload details will be provided during the interview process.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide academic support and reinforcement.
• Assist students with special needs, learning challenges, or disabilities in their educational and social development.

Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma / GED
• Must have the Maine the Ed Tech II or Ed Tech III Certification
• Must have previous school-based experience
