    Job Description

    The Network Support Specialist will work alongside the Telecommunications Administrator to support the physical network and telephony infrastructure at Cook's Pest Control.

    Specific Duties Include:
    • Responsible for the physical installation of network and VOIP hardware/software.
    • Responsible for day-to-day network/telephony MACD requests documenting all troubleshooting processes via company ticketing system, on-site support for system turn-ups and advanced MACD procedures.
    • Work directly with and submit support tickets to 3rd party service providers to resolve network related issues.
    • Work with the Infrastructure Manager to create and maintain support escalation strategies related to network infrastructure and establish refresh cycles for network and telecommunications equipment.
    • Gather and report network analytics to the Infrastructure Manager.
    • Develop and maintain network diagrams and configuration documentation.
    • Perform continual assessment of available hardware and software enhancements and requirements to facilitate continued improvements in business operations.
    • Work with the Infrastructure team to design, deploy, document, and test company network and telecommunications infrastructure including data and voice network hardware and software.
    • Work with the Infrastructure team to coordinate disaster recovery planning and testing of network and telecommunications infrastructure including data and voice network hardware and software.
    • Provide telecommunications training and support to end-users, as required.
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Cisco family hardware and software products and solutions is required.
    • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocols is required.
    • General knowledge of Apple, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems along with Cyber Security concepts is required.
    • The ability to oversee and complete complex projects with minimal supervision is required.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Candidates possessing a current Cisco CCNA certification are preferred.
    • 3+ years in designing and maintaining enterprise networks is preferred.
    • Candidates possessing general Systems Administration concepts or skills are preferred.
    Qualifications
    • Travel to and from our 40+ locations across the Southeast will be required for this position.
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds, and on occasion up to 75 pounds.
    • Weekend and evening work will be required at times.
    • One Saturday on-call per month will be required.
