    Summary/Objective:
    Quik Pick Express, LLC is looking for CDL drivers to join its safety-conscious team in Carson, CA. The driver will primarily focus on driving to and from the Long Beach and Los Angeles ports, with some work at other facilities. This individual must take direction and work with little supervision to support our growing ports' drayage operations, servicing the Long Beach and Los Angeles Ports.

    Essential Functions:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
    • Hauling containers to and from the ports in Los Angeles/Long Beach to warehouses and vice versa.
    • Perform inspections of your vehicle before and following each trip
    • Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.
    • Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned delivery vehicle.
    • Ensure the trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit.
    • Communicate with dispatch as needed using the truck tablet.
    • Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.
    • Always make safety a priority.
    • Drop empty or loaded containers at the warehouses, as well as deliver empty or loaded containers to the ports.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.
    Other Requirements
    • Class A CDL
    • Active TWIC card (Minimum 2 years LA/LB port experience required).
    • Active Medical card.
    • General Mechanical Knowledge
    • Have a working knowledge of DOT regulations.
    • Work overtime required to meet department needs.
    Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
    • Ability to understand spoken/written English.
    • Must have basic math skills for inventory counts
    • Be reliable, safe, and a team player.
    • Exhibited good job performance and behavior as measured through indicators such as teamwork, attendance, quality, and productivity, etc.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Use three points of contact when entering/exiting the truck.
    • Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
    • Ability to push, pull, grasp, and fine manipulation of equipment using hands is ongoing throughout the work hours.
    • Walking on uneven surfaces is possible, though infrequently.
    • Sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
