    Job Summary

    A Registered Nurse in Nursing Professional Development Generalist role uses expertise to enhance healthcare methods for learners. They improve patient outcomes and their own techniques.

    What You'll Do

    • You will create and assess professional development programs aligned with current methodologies to promote ongoing learning.
    • You'll identify the needs of our staff, work closely with various teams, and modify educational material to suit those needs.
    • You will help implement education plans. You will create a positive environment to reach our goals.
    • You'll design and assess educational activities and projects. You'll engage team members and implement evidence-based content.
    • Use reliable methods to evaluate program outcomes. Involve learners in evaluation and adjust material based on data collected.
    • You'll build relationships with various community education programs and weave ethics through all aspects of your educational practice.

    • Familiarity with nursing practices, standards of patient care and procedures.
    • Comprehensive grasp of pertinent laws, regulations and standards set by accrediting agencies.

    LOCATION: Baylor Heart & Vascular Hospital, Dallas, Texas

    SPECIALTY/DEPARTMENT: Education: Facility and System Orientation, Cardiac, ICU, CVICU

    SHIFT/SCHEDULE: Full time days, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to occasionally work with the night and weekend shifts

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
    • At least 2 years of pertinent experience is essential.
    • RN license and BLS certification. If not BLS certified yet, they must obtain it within 30 days of hire.
