- Assisting with the preparation of the year-end Financial accounts and Audit in accordance with local and US GAAP.
- Coordinate and supervise daily and month end accounting tasks (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, travel & expense reimbursement, intercompany, fixed assets, cash management, account reconciliations, etc.) ensuring finance processes and finance policies are adhered to.
- Manage monthly P&L review across multiple entities to identify and understand variances to budget and prior month. Prepare business commentaries for submission to head office and MD.
- Treasury management - Prepare short term cash flow forecasting and ensuring consistency with the long-term plan.
- Prepare US GAAP technical accounting memo's
- Assisting on preparation of annual budget, P&L & cash flow forecasts as appropriate, with specific focus on The Americas
- Assist with initiatives to drive efficiencies and improve processes
- Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other relevant field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in good standing
- At least 6 years post qualification experience, ideally with experience of industry and practice background
- 2+ years supervisory experience required
- Expert knowledge of local reporting standard and experience working in US GAAP environment
- Experience with Exact and Blackline desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be fluent English and Spanish speaking
- Proven hands-on approach, pro-active in nature and happy to take ownership of issues and resolves
- High level of ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision
- Previous experience with dealing with international internal / external stakeholders would be preferable
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Remote position, but candidate must be located near our headquarters in McLean, VA.
- Hybrid schedule, flexibility-expected to come into the office when required by CEO/CFO or during audits.
- Office environment: exposure to computer screens, working closely with others in an open office environment.
