    Description:

    CIFC Health, a project of Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc., seeks full-time or part-time Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN).

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) perform clinical assessments of patients in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, cognitive and developmental statuses.
    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) work directly with clinicians to facilitate quality patient / parent communication and care, and efficient patient flow.
    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) assist in the preparation for procedures, recording of patient information, and clinical equipment maintenance.
    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) prepare, administer and log age-appropriate vaccinations.
    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) implement care in knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner.
    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) establishes priorities of patients care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) evaluates effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward desired outcomes.
    • Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) identify patient / family learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet them.
    • Current Registered Nurse shifts include Monday through Friday; 9 AM-5 PM and 10 AM-6 PM and one Saturday Morning per month.
    • Some shifts require late afternoon / early evenings & some Saturday mornings hours.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: Works under supervision of the Pediatric Nurse Manager. Supervision is received through personal conferences, clinical competencies, general observations of work in progress and bi-annual performance reviews by supervisor, with input from other core team members.

    Requirements:

    · Minimum formal education of Associate Degree and minimum of six months job-related experience; BSN desired (not required)

    · Current CT RN license

    · Bi-lingual capacity (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) strongly preferred.
