Job Description: Financial Analyst III
The Financial Analyst III works under the Grants Team Supervisor in the Operations and Business Services Unit (OBS) in the Regional and Local Health Operations Division (RLHO).
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing the selected candidate to work both remotely and in the office as needed.
Candidates must be able to report to the Austin, Texas office location for essential job functions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and effective time-management skills for handling multiple projects and deadlines independently.
Essential Job Functions:
(30%) Provide advanced financial support and technical assistance for federal grant applications. Collaborate with various divisions to gather budget details, handle procurement activities, and ensure compliance with federal requirements.
(35%) Perform advanced financial analyses and projections with a focus on federal funds. Monitor revenue and expenditure forecasts, analyze financial impacts, and develop reports to support fund monitoring.
(15%) Coordinate financial analyses of projects and procurement, review budgets, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
(15%) Serve as a financial resource, offer guidance, and provide technical assistance to stakeholders. Collaborate with agency partners to meet operational needs related to federal and state funds.
(5%) Responsible for disaster response and recovery obligations as needed. This role may require alternative shift assignments and additional hours to meet deadlines.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Understanding of performance measures, budget management, and state and federal laws related to contracts and grants administration.
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in financial data analysis.
Ability to manage budgets, evaluate financial policies, and train others effectively.
