    Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Cleveland, OH 44195

    Travel RN job in Cleveland, Ohio for an experienced Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) supporting patients in a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a cardiovascular surgery stepdown setting at a large academic medical center. Work in an on-site Cleveland assignment focused on telemetry monitoring, ECG rhythm interpretation, and high-quality stepdown nursing care.

    Job Details (Travel Nursing Contract)

    • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370/week
    • Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown / PCU

    • Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care (cardiovascular surgery stepdown)
    • Start Date: 03/30/2026
    • End Date: 06/29/2026
    • Duration: 13 weeks
    • Hours per Week: 36
    • Schedule: 12-hour shifts (rotating days/nights)
    • Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating
    • Shift Options: Days (07:00–19:30) and Nights (19:00–07:30); facility reserves the right to rotate shifts if needed to meet operational needs
    • Float: Potential to float to J1-2, J33, and the ED
    • Orientation: 16 hours; includes ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessment (passing score required)
    • Holiday Requirement: Work at least every other holiday

    Job Requirements (RN Qualifications)

    • Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown RN experience (travel experience acceptable); PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred
    • License: Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand
    • Certifications (required): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
    • Clinical Skills: Telemetry monitoring, ECG rhythm interpretation, medication safety
    • Reference: One current/previous manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty
    • Compliance: Ability to complete required onboarding, assessments, and facility credentialing steps by deadlines

    Responsibilities (Cardiac Stepdown / PCU Nursing)

    • Provide high-quality patient care in a cardiac stepdown/PCU environment, monitoring for changes in condition and escalating appropriately
    • Interpret telemetry and demonstrate strong ECG rhythm recognition in a monitored setting
    • Administer medications safely and accurately, following facility protocols and evidence-based nursing practice
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, patient education, and discharge readiness
    • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses per unit standards
    • Float to J1-2, J33, and the ED as needed
    • Maintain readiness to work rotating day/night schedules based on unit needs
