    Description

    Role: Machine Vision Engineer

    Location: Buffalo Grove, IL 60089

    Duration: 12 months

    Pay Rate starts from $90/hr onW2

    Summary:

    • Machine Vision expertise and support to manufacturing processes.
    • the implementation of Machine Vision related projects (mainly Cognex Insight Spreadsheet environment).
    • Review/debug of a wide spectrum of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms.
    • issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision Applications.
    • optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.
    • with other internal functions (eg QA/Operations/Engineering).
    • of best machine vision practices across site.
    • vision related obsolescence upgrade projects
    • Training for engineering personnel

    Experience/Training Required

    • must have minimum 5 years machine vision relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated high volume automated manufacturing environment.
    • must have demonstrated expertise with Cognex Insight hardware/software platform (spreadsheet environment)
    • must have a comprehensive understanding of Optics, Lighting Techniques, Troubleshooting/Diagnostics, with demonstrable competency in vision algorithm development and interfaces with PLC/HMI systems.
    • must have extensive knowledge of vision tools such as histograms, edge tools, blob tools, OCR, logic, image processing techniques, job profiling etc
    • must have completed Cognex advanced spreadsheet training.
    • with Cognex Vision Pro, Designer and Keyence vision systems
    • should have a good knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
    • should have experience of GDP/GMP/GAMP.

    Qualifications/Education

    • in Engineering or Science equivalent
    • Sigma Green Belt or equivalent desirable.
