    Description

    Job Overview

    We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods within a designated local area, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving practices, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles including tankers, dump trucks, and refrigerated trailers.

    Schedule

    • Must be flexible for all shifts. Routes are dedicated for 6 months at a time. Most likely will be a night shift route. Will likely work 1 day on the weekend.
    • Local routes - Home Daily

    Responsibilities

    • No touch - delivery of auto parts
    • Navigate local routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
    • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
    • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
    • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

    Qualifications

    • Valid commercial driver's license and 9 months of recent Class A driving experience
    • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
