That's why I have dedicated my career and practice to supporting queer folks with skills to address relationship issues, gender dysphoria, questions of sexuality, and other issues that are unique to our community.

    About the Role

    The Clinical Director is a full-time licensed mental health professional who will be responsible hiring and recruiting unique and qualified clinicians, providing training and ongoing support to pre-licensed clinicians, and providing queer-focused, compassionate, and individualized care to adults and couples who have or are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and self worth, as well as additional issues that are unique to the LGBTQIA+ community.

    Essential Functions

    Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

    Provide therapy services to clients as scheduled and in accordance with our practices' policies and procedures.

    Complete written records for each client within 48 hours of the session including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination letters, discharge summaries, and other forms or documents that may be needed or required from time to time by Heads Held High Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion.

    Keep client files accurate, up to date, and in a secure and confidential location.

    Schedule client appointments for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established.

    Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings as instructed by your supervisor.

    Conduct and regulate therapy services in a professional manner so as to maintain the goodwill and reputation of Heads Held High Counseling.

    Be respectful of, cooperative, and collaborative with co-workers.

    Maintain proper licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are applicable to the services performed for Heads Held High Counseling.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    You will be required to provide weekly supervision to all staff members whom you supervise.

    Work Environment

    Job duties for this position will be performed in a remote work environment of your choosing. The location where you choose to work must be private and confidential.

    Physical Demands

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. It is important for clinical therapists to be able to:

    • Sit for long periods of time.
    • Understand the speech of another person.
    • Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
    • Use the fingers, hands, and wrists to work on a computer.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    Full-time position having approximately 25 clinical hours per week, plus administrative time. Clinical hours will be a hybrid of both supervision and direct client hours. This is a fully remote position with a flexible schedule that will be agreed upon in collaboration with your supervisor.

    Travel

    No travel is required for this position.

    Required Education and Experience:

    Must be fully licensed in the state of Massachusetts.

    Must hold one of the following credentials: LICSW, LCPC, and LMFT.

    Master's degree in therapy, counseling, or related field.

    Preferred Experience

    Familiar with using an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system a plus.

    Experience working with queer clients is preferred, but not required.

    Additional experience and/or expertise in any of the following areas a bonus: Couples Therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy.
