What are we looking for in our UX Designer?
The Information Technology team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a top social media organization that has an opening for a remote UX Designer.
100% Remote
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm PST
Pay Rate Range: $50 - $60/hour W2, based on experience
Duration: 2+ months contract
Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. UX Design Experience (5+ YOE)
2. Journey mapping Experience (5+ YOE)
3. Evaluate Information Architecture Experience (5+ YOE)
Hard Skills Assessments
• Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP.
• Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include a standard interview.
• Required Candidate Preparation: Candidates should have portfolio/projects and resume prepared prior to the assessment.
Summary:
The main function of a UX/UI Developer is to develop, create, and modify user interfaces through and understanding of end-user needs.
Job Responsibilities:
• Engages with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers' business problem/goals.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications
Skills:
• Experience in software design and development
• Experience in professional UI development
• Experience with data-driven UI development
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• 5-7 years experience required
