Hire date: July 30, 2026 Requirements: Meets qualifications for a teaching license to teach 9-12 Math in public schools in Tennessee Benefits include Health Insurance optional dental and/or vision insurance paid sick days paid personal days paid holidays The salary is based on a 200-day contract for a full school year If the number of days is less than 200 divide the annual salary by 200 to get the daily rate and then multiply the daily rate times the number of paid days Certified Teacher Pay Scale NOTE The Certified Teacher Pay Scale has not been approved yet JOB DESCRIPTION Qualifications Valid teacher's license with appropriate endorsements Strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills Basic understanding of and skill with computer technology for personal and presentation applications Meets health and physical requirements Essential Duties Responsibilities Prepares lesson plans for courses of study taught Aligns course(s) curriculum(s) taught with state curriculum standards Uses a variety of teaching strategies to differentiate for student learning Prepares administers records student assessments Assigns lessons routinely corrects student work Maintains order in classroom play areas common areas Develops maintains classroom environment conducive to learning Counsels students as needed Consults other professionals To address learning behavioral problems Communicates parents regularly Schedules parent conferences Keeps accurate attendance academic performance records Reports proper authorities when knowledgeable suspicious child's health welfare at risk Represents school system within community Participates faculty meetings professional development workshops Performs other work-related duties assigned Supervises activities field trips group events athletic events club meetings fosters understanding social environment
