    SUMMARY
    At Albemarle, IT support for a manufacturing site follows industry standard ITIL support level hierarchy concepts.


    This is an on-site, "boots on the ground" level role that m anages and coordinates the complete range of IT services and IT service providers in the designated site(s).


    The set of IT services include devices, infrastructure, mobility, telecommunications, local infrastructure operations, data management, conferencing facilities, incident/request fulfillment management, and physical security to meet site's business requirements.

    The IT Site Manager has thorough knowledge of hardware, software, data communications, IT change management practices, and end user support.


    The position requires significant experience in managing the delivery of technical services, project management experience in technical infrastructure areas, and coaching and people management of site IT technicians.

    The role works closely with site plant operations, maintenance, health and safety and IT-OT support teams.


    This position will initially work with project and support teams out of Charlotte to help with the design of the manufacturing site's IT infrastructure.

    Upon construction, the position will be based out of and support the Albemarle Manufacturing Megaflex site in Richburg, SC.

    Preferred candidates have experience in a manufacturing and/or chemical processing environment.

    Position reports to the Regional GSS IT Manager.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Support site IT infrastructure, network (wired/wireless), servers, audio visual and end user compute needs

    Primary contact with site business and manufacturing leadership to define and prioritize IT service requirements

    Work with customers and vendors to deliver on special projects and meetings

    Accountable for SLA/OLAs with Incident and Request Fulfillment

    Manage timely and effective communications across business managers, IT Leadership, and service providers when service goes wrong

    Follow project management methodology and manages local project resources to meet requirements, deadlines, and responds to unexpected events

    Ensure that design and selection of new site specific solutions are in alignment with corporate IT strategies and policies.

    Conduct architecture/security reviews through PMO processes.

    Hire, train, and evaluate site IT technicians to deliver IT services effectively and efficiently

    Understand and communicate IT strategy to IT team

    Ensure adherence to established corporate strategies, standards and policies

    Provide metrics tracking of operational performance and quality of services

    Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis, postmortem

    Weekly verbal communications with IT leaders and service providers in region

    Partner with Service Owners to enable continuous improvement of IT Services and Centers of Excellence

    Knowledge, skill and experience requirements
    Bachelor degree in computer science or related IT disciplines

    Minimum of 5-10 years IT experience

    Minimum 5 years managing professional resources and service providers

    Strong, demonstrated project management skills

    Good presentation and communication skills

    Experience working with C-level executives

    Ability to influence and sell ideas to business and IT leadership team

    Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment

    Ability to manage multiple competing tasks/demands

    Understanding of system security practices and responsibilities

    Relevant IT certifications in networking, security, etc.
