    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (
    CVICU) night shift position requiring an active IL RN license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

    Responsibilities
    Position based in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit within an acute care, Level 2 trauma setting
    Primary patient population includes post PCI, post-bypass, and CHF cases
    12-hour night shifts are required
    13-week assignment
    Use of Allscripts EMR charting system
    24/7 hospitalist/intensivist and respiratory therapy coverage available in the ICU
    Draeger telemetry monitors are used with RNs required to interpret strips
    Care involves use of respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPap
    Tele monitor tech on the unit monitors telemetry
    Responsibilities include assessment, monitoring, and management of cardiovascular ICU patients
    Night shift position only
    Must interpret telemetry strips as part of routine duties
    Supportive team environment with 24/7 in-house medical staff and RTs
    No BSN required for this role

    Requirements
    Active Illinois RN license required at time of consideration
    Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
    Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
    Level 2 trauma experience or higher is required
    Experience in titrating drips is required
    Open heart and sheath-pulling experience preferred
    CRRT experience highly preferred
