    OBJECTIVE:

    We are seeking a Staff Accountant II in our Pleasantville office. The Staff Accountant II will work closely with Finance, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, and outside vendors and will report directly to the Controller.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The Staff Accountant II will be responsible for the following:

    • Performing accounting tasks including journal entries and account reconciliations.
    • Review and reconcile intercompany accounts in a monthly basis.
    • Preparing financial statements for sub-entities and events/ projects.
    • Assist Accounts Payable by coding invoices prior to submitting for processing.
    • Assist Accounts Payable by reconciling the A/P sub-ledger to GL.
    • Production of weekly cash requirements in accordance with actual versus budgeted cash.
    • Auditing and employee expense reports and downloading reports from Concur and coding to proper cost centers.
    • Processing inter-company settlements.
    • Reviewing and reconciling invoices using 3-way match to properly match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
    • Preparing a listing of accruals for month end closing as needed.
    • Reconciling monthly corporate credit cards.
    • Maintaining files and documentation in accordance with company policies.
    • Working with auditors at interim and year-end with any questions regarding financial statements and pulling of information.
    • Assist with special projects as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 2-4 years' experience in accounting at a consumer products company preferred.
    • BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or related field of study.
    • Proficient in Microsoft office including advanced skills in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).
    • Experience with SAP preferred.
    • Strong organization, documentation, and communication skills.
    • Critical thinker and ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple deliverables.
    • Ability to proactively identify and assist in implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.
