Description

Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Information Security Analyst (ISA) researches, recommends, implements, audits, and improves all aspects of security/cybersecurity for the Clerk's enterprise technology systems. The ISA performs as a security and technical expert, with expertise in desktops, servers, networking, and firewalls. The ISA is responsible for the security training for the organization to ensure that every employee within the Clerk's office has the training to aid in our security defense. The ISA works closely with the entire Clerk's technology team to ensure that all Clerk's systems perform their business functions as securely as possible. This position is distinguished from others in this classification by the increased level of responsibility, experience, training, and certifications required. This position is classified as exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Examples of Duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Ensures data and network security.
Researches security vulnerabilities and their solutions.
Performs risk assessments on existing and new systems.
Performs internal and external penetration testing.
Leads the timely patching of security-related infrastructure.
Performs security audits.
Assists with the timely patching of Server, Storage, and Network Infrastructure.
Leads security-related incident response to assess and mitigate security events
Assists with the maintenance and implementation of IT infrastructure as needed
Reviews, tests, and recommends remediation for security practices, policies and procedures
Uses tools to drill staff's security readiness and monitor staff progress.
Acts as a security liaison to other agencies and participates in multi-agency initiatives as needed.
Audits backup and recovery procedures and ensures that a rapid path to recovery is maintained
Plans, implements, and maintains Active Directory as it relates to security
Plans, implements, and maintains DNS, DHCP as it relates to security
Plans, implements, and maintains security certificates
Completes special research projects as assigned
Performs other duties of a similar nature/level as assigned

Typical Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field from and accredited college or university
Five years of related experience in enterprise information technology security and cybersecurity
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Valid Florida driver's license.

An equivalent combination of education and/or work experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will be considered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
Knowledge of VMware, vSphere of other Hypervisors.
Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365.
Knowledge of File and Print servers.
Knowledge of backup and recovery of servers and applications.
Knowledge of Network protocols and current security technologies and practices.
Knowledge of server and networking hardware configurations.
Skill in Windows-based client and server operating systems.
Skill in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Skill in organizing and prioritizing work.
Skill in project management.
Skill in the operation of computer software and hardware sufficient to enter, retrieve, and manipulate data.
Ability to analyze data and formulate recommendations.
Ability to fluently read, interpret, speak, write and understand the English language.
Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, customers, and others.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITES:
Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, manual dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, carrying, repetitive motions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

VISUAL ACUITY:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform and activity, at distances close to the eyes, such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; using measurement devices; and/or assembly of parts. The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles (when required). The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
