We're seeking an energetic and motivated Poetry Event Promoter to bring vibrant poetry experiences to life In this dynamic role, you will be the driving force behind organizing, marketing, and executing engaging poetry events that inspire communities and celebrate artistic expression. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help foster a lively atmosphere where poets and audiences connect, share stories, and celebrate the power of words. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your event marketing skills while promoting the rich world of poetry.
Duties
- Plan and coordinate poetry events, including open mics, readings, and competitions, ensuring seamless execution from setup to wrap-up
- Promote upcoming events through social media channels, email campaigns, and community outreach to maximize attendance
- Engage with local communities, schools, and organizations to build partnerships and expand event reach
- Manage event logistics such as venue setup, equipment arrangements, and artist coordination
- Collect feedback from attendees to improve future events and gather data on audience preferences
- Conduct product demos or poetry showcases to attract new audiences and generate excitement around upcoming events
- Maintain active social media profiles by posting engaging content, updates, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of events
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse audiences
- Experience in social media management for marketing campaigns and community engagement
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for reaching broader audiences
- Knowledge of event marketing strategies to effectively promote poetry events
- Customer service skills to create welcoming environments for attendees and performers
- Ability to conduct engaging public speaking or host live performances confidently
- Familiarity with branding principles to ensure consistent messaging across all promotional materials
- Experience in food service or hospitality is a bonus for managing event concessions or catering aspects
- Data collection skills for tracking attendance, engagement metrics, and feedback insights
