    Are you currently in the job market for a full time role? Medix is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to work for a Plastic Surgery Office in Oxon Hill, MD.

    Job Requirements:
    • High School graduate or equivalent
    • Certification in sterile supply processing is required
    Job Overview:
    • The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for processing all surgical instrumentation, maintaining all related documentation required for compliance, and maintaining all related equipment (washers, autoclaves, ultrasounds, etc.).
    • Functions as a member of the healthcare team performing clinical duties, which are required for proper surgical instrumentation processing.
    • Cleaning and sterilization processes for all instrumentation and reusables in the Center, including equipment.
    • Receives soiled instruments into decontamination area & promptly processes same.
    • Prepares soiled instrument trays for the sterilization process.
    • Operates washers/disinfectors, sterilizers, scope washers, and other relevant equipment. Maintains manufacturer guidelines on site for equipment and is self-aware of manufacturer recommendations for operations, cleaning, maintenance, etc.
    • Assures sterility maintenance of supplies.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Other Information:
    • Pay: 24-25/hr
    • 4 ten hour shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
