    General Description:

    This position involves the coordination of inpatient admission, treatment, follow-up, and discharge planning for the patient population served.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the positon.
    • The Advanced Practitioner evaluates, plans, and provides care for patients in consultation with and under the direct supervision of attending Physician.
    • Performs clinical procedures under the direction of the attending physician and/or approved protocols.
    • Orders and/or performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
    • Prescribes prescriptions for patients under prescriptive authority
    • Develops, implements, and monitor effectiveness of treatment plans when indicated
    • Acts as a clinical resource/role model for service lines served
    • Provides and/or coordinates educational activities for both staff and patients.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation care path/guidelines, as well as participate in the variance capture and analysis in an effort to enhance quality, service and resource management.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing if APRN, MSN or Master's in Physician Assistant Services

    Experience: Minimum 3 years related clinical experience preferred.

    License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:
    • Current PA license in the State of Oklahoma
    • Certification as a PA by the NCCPA.
    • Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
    • Current American Heart Association ACLS provider within 6 months.
    • Prescriptive Authority/DEA# within 1 year of hire.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Successful candidate need to be able to work independently in a fast pasted team orientated environment.
    • Ability to care for patient population served.
    • Must be able to plan/coordinate patient care within the guidelines of the plan of care and according to policy.
    • Must be able to gather and interpret data.
    • Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to be an effective liaison to the community.
    • Ability to effectively educate families and peers.
    • EHR/EMR helpful, computer skills required
