Position: Director of Student Support Services and Career Development
Location: Athens Campus
Department: Division of Student Affairs
Reports to: Vice President for Student Affairs
Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:
+ Actively communicate to faculty, staff, and students about services offered through student support services, including Academic Support Services, Career Services, Counseling Services, Disability Services, Special Populations Services, and Veterans Services.
+ Provide supervision to personnel responsible for Academic Support Services, Career Services, Counseling Services, Disability Services, Special Populations Services, and Veterans Services.
+ Develop, implement, and monitor budgets for student support services programs and services on an annual basis.
+ Ensure accuracy of student support services information on the college website.
+ Develop annual goals and objectives for student support services, including academic support, career services, counseling services, disabilities services, special population services, and veteran services.
+ Direct the establishment of a comprehensive career center and career services including workshops and individual supports to current and prospective students and alumni.
+ Conduct placement follow-up on newly graduated students.
+ Supervise and provide career counseling services to assist students, applicants, and alumni in assessing their abilities, interests and values in relation to job and career opportunities, as needed.
+ Supervise and coordinate employer recruitment of ATC students for career placement.
+ Ensure that students with documented disabilities are appropriately identified as such in BANNER and that they receive accommodations for which they are eligible.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Masters Degree.
+ Five (5) years of experience in related field.
+ Experience working with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Banner Student Information System, Degree Works, and Microsoft Office.
+ Experience working with diverse student populations, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse constituencies.
+ Supervisory experience.
