    Description
    Autry Grading is looking for experienced equipment operators to work hand in hand with general laborers and foremen to complete projects.

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
    • Communicate with Foreman as to the daily job specifications.
    • Ability to follow directions.
    • Performs various tasks which are associated with fine grading operations. This includes but is not limited to operating a dozer, backhoe, pan, trackhoe, loader, or various other equipment and uses various tools such as a shovel, rake, lute, broom, pick, hammer, saw, pneumatic hammer, drill, tamp and concrete saw. We do not have operator only positions, manual labor is required of all positions
    • Ability to perform the essential job functions and perform other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:
    • The job requires the following motions: standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, and squatting.
    • Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment using GPS to establish the desired grade.
    • Requires lifting of or in excess of 25 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
    • Walking and standing may require a full day of 9 to 12 hours.
    • Will be exposed to sometimes extreme hot and cold temperatures.
    • Jobs require riding to and from projects in various locations within our geographic region. If driving a company vehicle, company policies on drivers must be met.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
    • Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
    • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
    • Report to work at the designated start time.
    • Be able to work long hours when required.
    • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
    • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
    • Be at least age 18 years of age.
    • Prefer a valid NC Drivers License.
