Operations Quality Intern - Asheboro, United States - Technimark

Job Summary:

Interns will participate as needed on multiple projects for the Operations Department and in conjunction with the Quality team with a focus on Engineering and Metrology.

The intern will work with multiple new Medical Device product lines at the Plant 1 facility. Work will include helping with FAI (First Article Inspection), DOE (Design of Experiment), and IQ/OQ/PQ (Installation/Operational/Performance Qualification).


Additional work may include:

• Assistance with testing including force testing, destructive testing, etc.
• Collection and input of data from the various tests.

Knowledge | Experience | Skills:

Current student at a 4-year university pursuing a degree in an associated field including mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, etc.

Candidates need to have solid communication and interpersonal skills. Moderate computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & PowerPoint).


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in and gather data on production floor activities.
• Responsible for various metrology work.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Must be able to manage time efficiently, follow work instructions & work well in a team environment.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Identify problems and find ways to resolve them.
• Ability to use tools and/or operate equipment.
