    An Inventory Specialist at Marmon brings unwavering professionalism, meticulous accuracy and exceptional math and observation skills. The person in this role can expect to work closely with management and collaborate across multiple departments to develop and improve existing procedures and policies, prevent losses, and occasionally do some heavy lifting. Overarching responsibilities include maintaining storage facilities, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, compiling balance, and doing weekly counts of all products. To be successful in this role, this team member will possess the ability identify appropriate levers and follow up on all action items to meet important deadlines.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Tracking inventory maintenance.
    • Reporting to management and advising on process improvements.
    • Coordinating and directing activities across cross functional teams.
    • Accountable for performing all cycle counts.
    • Keeping the inventory clean and well organized.
    • Identifying discrepancies in the inventory reports and follow through to address obstacles and challenges.
    • Training other team members.
    • Compiling inventory reports.
    • Investigate material variances and resolve them with management.
    • Work closely with Supply Chain, Planning & Sales to help forecast future inventory requirements.
    • Work on new inventory projects to automate our existing processes.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Minimum of moderate math skills.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.
    • Excellent problem-solving techniques.
    • Proven ability to collaborate across departments to find solutions.
    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
    • Associates Degree in related field or 3+ years' experience in wire & cable and/or similar role.
    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and other department personnel.
    • Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
