    Location is remote but they prefer someone closer to Ashburn, VA as client's data center is there. C2C candidates will work.

    Location - RemoteData center location - Ashburn, VARequirement -

    • AIX systems Engineer, have 8+ years of Unix administration experience.
    • Expert knowledge on AIX server tasks includes
    • OS code upgrades, patching, Data migrations, SAN disks, network configuration and HA cluster
    • Experience in Tivoli system automation for multiplatforms
    • Installation and maintenance of OS and application server configurations
    • Knowledge of VIO server and LPARsstrong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve server related problems, engage other team members and escalate as needed.
    • Assist DBA team with OS configurations related to database subsystems
    • Manage and remediate security vulnerabilities
    • Unix shell scripts
    • Experience in managing DR environment
    • Operational support in design, planning, and replication of secure high available applications
    • Monitor software maintenance levels
    • Experience working with vendors and opening vendor cases
    good to have some- Linux OS knowledge in ESX VM environment- some Automation
