At Dow we believe in putting people first delivering integrity respect and safety to our customers employees and planet Our purpose is simple deliver a sustainable future for the world through science and collaboration We invest in you with total rewards programs including base pay bonus opportunity benefits retirement program stock purchase plan student debt retirement savings match program medical and life insurance packages training mentoring community involvement team building workplace culture empowering role-based flexibility yearly vacation allowance paid time off new parents family members volunteering Employee Resource Groups wellbeing portal fitness facilities employee discounts transportation allowance meal subsidiaries/vouchers carbon-neutral transportation incentives Dow is seeking our next Maintenance Electrical Technician to support Louisiana Operations in Plaquemine LA You will provide maintenance electrical technical input and oversight for the daily technical support necessary to maintain safe reliable operation of the Maintenance equipment in facility Participate on maintenance team which supports reliability improvement across all Operations facilities This role requires advanced skills expertise range processes procedures systems specialized technical expertise perform broad complex work assignments You may act working team lead providing subject matter guidance coordinating work others Responsibilities Manage Electrical work orders project management other system planners contractors develop detailed elements overall package preparation Identify required manpower materials equipment services This includes estimating repairing replacing installing motors AC DC VFDs electrical circuits MCC starters conduit wiring electrical equipment replacement adjusting maintaining repairing distribution center breakers controls communication networks Perform accurate job cost estimates utilize SAP maintenance planning board PM administration creation Adhere established work processes practices ensure compliance permitting isolations risk identification Perform routine maintenance production equipment repair when necessary Troubleshooting identify problem offer logical solutions Wire machines electrical panels prints Respond quickly emergency situations Utilization tool drills mechanical saws sanders buffers Browse schematics tools diagnostic devices service install electrical components Approves Energized Electrical Work <=600V approves new procedures work does not have approved procedure Provides guidance leadership application Dow electrical safety practices design guidelines Identify where equipment isolation may/will require application temporary protective grounds TPGs Understand applicability S-340 De-Energized Electrical Work Process DEWP LAO FER role validating DEWP Understand applicability EWP-30 Energized Electrical Work Permit EEWP roles involved writing EEWP Writes electrical operation isolation maintenance procedures Assist training procedures appropriate Implements new procedure procedure improvements via MOC process Physical Requirements May require walking project property Work plant exposure extreme ambient temperature loud noise Work using wearing personal protective equipment fire-retardant clothing hearing eye protection hard hat steel-toed boots Day-to-day physical requirements standard office activities sitting standing extended periods time attending meetings use keyboard mouse repetitively lifting carrying less than 30 lbs frequently etc Work moderate physical exertion walking operating areas climbing ladders scaffold stairs lifting Identify special requirements working space requirements cannot met Provide assistance transitional switching activities within plant facilities highly recommended FER present transitional switching activities included facilities switching procedures Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma equivalent required At least 5 years relevant experience required Valid US Driver license required Must possess TWIC card eligible obtain TWIC card Additional Note Position does not relocation assistance Benefits What Dow Offers You.
