    Job DescriptionOverviewOn behalf of our growing client, we are conducting a search for their new Sales Director who is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's sales and marketing operations in environmental services. This includes developing strategies to increase revenue, managing the day-to-day activities of sales, client relations and marketing staff, and ensuring that the organization meets its goals in this area. Reports to the CEO located in north Chesterfield, VA with 5 direct reports throughout the US.Summary of Job Responsibilities Supervisory duties
    • Provides leadership to the sales, marketing, and client relations team.
    • Hires, trains, and motivates the team to provide better customer service to the company's clients.
    • Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of sales and marketing managers and staff.
    • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
    • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
    General duties
    • Maintains and grows specific territory along with oversight of the sales team to ensure quotas are achieved.
    • Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales. determine profitability and targets and identify potential new markets.
    • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
    • Assigns territories and sets, tracks quotas for sales teams.
    • Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests services or products that will meet those needs.
    • Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
    • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
    • Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
    • Creates and implements short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets.
    • Actively seeks new business using marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, social media, site visits, and other methods.
    • Generates new business while also increasing customer loyalty by cultivating long-term relations with clients.
    • Evaluates market trends to determine pricing to balance costs, competition, and supply and demand (including existing client workflow).
    • Prepares accurate and complete sales reports documenting marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and marketing plans.
    • Performs regular competitive analysis to identify threats and opportunities in the marketplace.
    • Performs additional responsibilities related to the success of the organization.
    Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting duties
    • Performs data entry and maintenance of sales database.
    • Tracks sales performance metrics, analyzes data and generates reports for the executive team.
    • Monitors market trends, competitive activities and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings.
    • Provides accurate sales forecasts and contribute to the overall business planning process.
    • Demonstrates tangible return on investment for marketing efforts.
    Key Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or related area field.
    • Minimum of eight or more years of successful experience in primarily sales (and marketing) with experience in sales management.
    • Experience in environmental services/industrial hygiene.
    • Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and executing marketing plans.
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
    • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Skilled with Outlook, Word, Excel, and CRM databases (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce & Constant Contact).
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, lift up to 40 pounds at times.
    • Valid driver's license and able to fly to travel to customer sites, industry events and trade shows.
    • Typical full-time office role Monday - Friday schedule located out of the north Chesterfield, VA facility.
    • Successfully complete pre-employment background screening
