Role: Release Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA & Austin, TX (Day 1 Onsite)
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

• Experience in Git/GitHub, GitOps, Git Branching strategies, Set up guardrails on Git milestones, labels.
• Execute release cutovers, plan, and coordinate events and activities.
• Work independently with the development team, QA team, operation team, project management team, and external teams to triage issues.
• Strong Operational Experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell, Python.
• Strong Knowledge of Splunk for investigating or troubleshooting problems on non-production environment
• Strong Knowledge and experience with Software Version Control systems: Git and GitHub/Gitlab
• Execute release cutovers, plan and coordinate events and activities.
• Experience implementing Java server applications using tools such as: Jersey, Jetty, Tomcat
• Knowledge of WebServers and LoadBalancers Apache HTTP Server, Apache Traffic Server, Nginx, HAProxy.
• Solid experience in trouble shooting, debugging, and performance measurement.
• Work with the development team, QA team, operation team, project management team, and external teams to triage issues.
