- Assessing patients in need of rehabilitation services
- Providing direct patient care to evaluate their medical condition and functional capabilities.
- Establishing and administering treatment programs with specific goals based on patients' capacity and tolerance, under the direction of a physician.
- Setting realistic goals for patients
- Documenting and recording the patient's condition and progress.
- Educating patients and their families in appropriate physical therapy methods
- Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy college or university.
- Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
- The Physical Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants.
- Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
