    Job Overview:


    As a Senior Accountant at Pitcher, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the integrity of our financial operations.

    Your expertise will contribute to the accurate and timely execution of general ledger transactions, preparation of monthly reconciliation schedules, and support in ad hoc reporting.

    Working closely with the Controller, you will assist in reporting and consolidation efforts, ensuring compliance with accounting controls and policies.

    This role demands a high level of precision, reliability, and an ability to manage complex accounting activities in a fast-paced environment.


    Key Responsibilities:

    General Ledger Management:
    Review, record, and rectify transactions in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.

    Monthly Reconciliations:

    Prepare and analyze various monthly reconciliation schedules, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, to ensure financial data integrity.


    Ad Hoc Reporting Support:

    Provide support in the creation of ad hoc financial reports, responding to specific queries and providing insights as required by management.


    Reporting and Consolidation:

    Assist the Controller in the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and consolidation process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.


    Accounting Controls and Policies:

    Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal accounting controls and policies, contributing to the efficiency and compliance of the finance department.


    Audit Support:

    Assist in the preparation for and execution of internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurately maintained and readily available.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally with a background in managing GL transactions in multiple currencies.
    Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    Proficiency with accounting software and systems, with a preference for candidates experienced with Netsuite.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
