    Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit, Member-owned, and locally operated financial institution serving the financial needs of its communities of Membership.

    We have 25 locations throughout East Tennessee and we serve more than 264,000 Members.

    Pay:

    Work Schedule:

    Monday - Friday 10am - 6:45pm; One Saturday per month 1pm - 4pmPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESClean building floors by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and vacuuming as needed.

    Clean, polish office tables, chairs, desks and all other furniture in the entire building.
    Dust and sanitize mechanical devices like monitors, desktops, printers, and any other device.
    Clean doors, glass and mirrors with soapy water, sponge and any other necessary cleaning substance.
    Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap).Monitor supplies and equipment needed for cleaning.
    Ensure waste bins are emptied daily and recycle bins are emptied as needed.
    Restock or resupply restroom papers and make sure toilets are in good condition.
    Take good care of the environment or building making sure hazardous materials are removed.
    Meet with any authority in the building to make requests for items needed for work.
    Report major damages to Support Services Director.
    Keep all break room refrigerators and microwaves cleaned, sanitized and organized.
    Sanitize handrails, door handles, light switches, and frequently touched surfaces twice daily.
    Clean all break room tables and work surfaces as needed throughout the day.
    Ensure safety measures are followed while using chemicals which can be harmful to people or can damage things.
    Maintain outer premises by watering plants and cleaning entrances.
    Undertake occasional tasks such as arranging meeting rooms, moving chairs. etc.
    Keep Operations and Training Center's laundry room clean and stocked. Wash, dry, steam and iron returned logo wear. Organize the clothing closet inventory as directed by Learning & Development staff.
    Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.

    Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior and performance).Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

    Work cooperatively with others.
    All other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required. Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role. Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances. Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.

    Qualifications and Requirements - Individual must possess the knowledge skills and ability required to execute the essential functions in a satisfactory manner.

    Mathematical - Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
    Reasoning - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
    Computer - Ability to use timekeeping program.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Work is typically done in the office at the company's principal base of business or branches.
    • Travel is required occasionally. May be required to travel to various work locations, both local and surrounding counties.
    • Maintain access to reliable transportation
    • Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Position requires flexible hours, including occasional and/or regular Saturdays.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Seldom lift/move up to 50 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision. Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
    • Frequently required to sit and talk or hear.
    • Occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell.
