    With compassion and a commitment to providing exceptional care, we are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a part-time, day shift position.

    The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine interest in geriatric nursing. They will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, follow doctors' orders, and maintain accurate records.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit/hall, ensuring compliance with the Nursing Practice Act and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
    • Delegate duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring their performance and providing guidance as needed.
    • Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including their general physical and mental condition, to identify potential adverse changes.
    • Notify attending physicians of emergencies and patient deaths, and implement changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements:

    • High school graduate.
    • Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
    • Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of renewal every other year.
    • Willingness to work as charge nurse and cover shifts as needed during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
    • CPR certification yearly.
    • Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
