Leadership and Professional Development Learning Specialist at Texas Health and Human Services Commission

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is looking for top-notch candidates to join the Leadership and Professional Development (LPD) team. The LPD Specialist role within Access and Eligibility Services (AES) will involve creating professional development programs to enhance the leadership and professional skills of team members who assist Texans in need of services such as food, medical care, and financial aid.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, design, and adjust training plans and materials for AES leadership positions
Lead, assist, or participate in coordinating and facilitating training for supervisory and management staff
Identify training issues and ensure the effective use of modern training methods
Review and evaluate training materials, recommending modifications as needed
Perform other assigned duties as necessary

Requirements and Skills:

Must possess knowledge of a wide range of training procedures, education principles, group dynamics, and instructional design
Ability to train individuals with varying levels of knowledge in both large and small group settings
Familiarity with virtual and remote training techniques, programs, and tools
Capable of formulating learning objectives, assessing training needs, and delivering effective communication
Skilled in preparing concise reports
