Opportunity HighlightsMonday-Friday scheduleDaily patient census is 15-18Provide inpatient services at a 160-bed community teaching HospitalClosed ICU. Procedures optionalAdmit and manage the Hospitalist Service patients and provide high-quality, safe, and efficient medical care to those patientsProvide consults as requested on non-medical servicesProvide timely sign-out of all patients admitted on the shift to daytime hospitalists as appropriateSupervise codes and rapid responses during the shift as neededSupervise and/or perform procedures as neededWork with Emergency Department clinicians and staff to expedite the transition of care and admissionsComply with applicable quality and safety measures, including Core Measures from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid ServicesSupervise, teach, and evaluate medical house staff and other trainees on a daily basisParticipate in other clinical, educational, or quality improvement work as recommended by the Chief HospitalistLeading base salary plus incentive compensation, generous paid time off, including CME timeExcellent benefits include medical, vision, dental, including orthodontia, 401k with employer match, and CMECommunity/Location Located in southern Connecticut, just 10 miles from the seacoast40 miles from Hartford and 75 miles to New York CityA small community in New Haven County with a population of 12,000 peopleJV
