Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school, one year of experience working with individuals or students in an organized setting, with one of the following: * completion of at least two years of study (48 semester units) in an institution of higher education or *associate's degree or * pass the district paraprofessional test, No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant.

Assist the teacher in the care, supervision, and learning activities of children in the classroom or other learning environment for preschool; provide quality child care and a safe and nurturing environment for children; assist in the preparation of instructional materials, and perform a variety of clerical duties as assigned
LICENSES AND
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Pass the employee entrance evaluation (lifting test) TRAINING,
EDUCATION,
AND EXPERIENCE:
Hold a High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma. Experience in pre-kindergarten related child-care, activities, or programs preferred.
Child Care Attendant II, Child Development requires six (6) ECE accredited units, and must have served 75% of the school year as a Child Care Attendant, Child Development.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Proof of immunizations for influenza, pertussis, and measles (Senate Bill 792: Day Care Facilities and Immunizations); employee entrance evaluation (lifting test) required.
Comments and Other InformationSubstitutes work on call as needed at varies site and department locations.
This is a continuous posting for the 2023/ 2024 school year which is scheduled to open on August 31, 2023.
Every few months we will invite interested applicants for an interview. We will screen periodically during the school year and will email qualified applicants at that time. We are Pre K- 12th grade district.If selected, you will receive an email from the Substitute Office asking to bring in the following items:
SSN Card California I.D TB Test (no more than 60 days old) Measles, Influenza, Pertussis immunization required NCLB Certificate or Official Transcripts showing 48 units of college
